Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Michebyte Technologie, which operates SwiftUnite. By creating an account or joining a meeting you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you use SwiftUnite for an organisation, you confirm you may agree on its behalf.

2. Accounts

• Give accurate information and keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• Guests may join a meeting with just a name, when the host allows it.
• Tell us straight away at info@swiftunite.com if you think your account has been misused.

3. Hosts' responsibilities

• You control who joins your meetings: share invite links carefully, and use the waiting room or remove people when needed.
• Recording and live streaming: tell participants and obtain their consent where the law requires it, before recording or streaming to YouTube. Recordings are saved on your own device and you are responsible for keeping them safe.
• If you run meetings for an organisation or with children, you are responsible for having the permissions and consents it needs.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use SwiftUnite to:

• break any law, or share content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative or that infringes others' rights;
• join meetings you weren't invited to, disrupt them, or impersonate others;
• spread malware, probe or overload our systems, or get around limits and security measures;
• send spam, or use the service to collect other people's personal data without permission.

We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of what you share (chat, files, notes, whiteboards). You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run SwiftUnite for you and the people you share it with.

6. Plans and payments

• The free plan limits meetings to 40 minutes. Paid plans remove the limit for the host and everyone in their meetings, for the period shown at purchase.
• Prices are shown in Uganda Shillings (UGX) and paid by MTN Mobile Money. Your plan starts once MTN confirms the payment, and we email a receipt.
• No automatic renewal: we remind you before your plan ends. If you renew early, the new period starts when the current one ends.
• Refunds: if you were charged in error or could not use the service because of a fault on our side, contact us within 7 days of payment and we will refund or extend your plan. Otherwise payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires.
• Custom plans agreed with us are governed by these terms plus anything we agreed in writing.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep SwiftUnite available and reliable, but meetings depend on participants' internet connections and devices, and on third-party services such as MTN Mobile Money. We may change, improve or discontinue features, and will give notice of significant changes.

8. Ending the agreement

You can stop using SwiftUnite at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or the law.

9. Liability

We provide SwiftUnite “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for content shared by users, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.

10. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. We will try to resolve any dispute with you directly first; otherwise it will be handled by the courts of Uganda.
